Addressing Concerns
When we focus inwards (which is all that trance really is) we can become more aware of the deeper parts of ourselves. Hypnotherapy works to release thought patterns that no longer suit us, to help change our negative beliefs and habits that just get in the way of being free to live life to the full. It is an extremely effective tool for change.
As many issues come from this emotional, unconscious self, hypnotherapy can help with matters such as confidence & low self-esteem, phobias, panic attacks or obsessive-compulsive behaviour, stress-related problems like insomnia, IBS (irritable bowel syndrome), psoriasis and eczema, blushing, and even excessive sweating. When used by a skilled, passionate and caring practitioner, hypnosis can really make a difference to a person’s life, happiness, and freedom.
- Hypnotherapy is safe and effective
- You are always in control. All hypnosis is self-hypnosis, the therapist can only guide you.
- Hypnotherapy cannot make you do anything you do not want to.
- For a very few people, hypnosis is NOT suitable: people with severe epilepsy, people with serious psychotic disturbances, and anyone under the influence of drugs or alcohol. If you are in any doubt, consult a medical doctor first.
- Anyone practicing hypnotherapy should be qualified and regulated by a professional body such as The Hypnotherapy Society
- Regulation ensures appropriate training, supervision and insurance.
- Your consultations are confidential. Information can only be disclosed by court order or where someone is in imminent and serious danger.
